A 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder was sold at auction for $6 million to a radio disc jockey named Chris Evans. It might seem hard to believe, but it’s true. This amazing vehicle was sold at RM Auctions in Maranello, Italy. This car used to belong to actor James Coburn who was known for his appearance in the Mel Gibson movie “Maverick.”
Another Ferrari hit the most expensive in the auction list, as well. The Ferrari Testarossa has an alluring racing appeal. This particular Ferrari had been known as the most expensive for two years. The NART Spyder sold for $27.5 million. At this incredible price, you can only imagine how amazing of a car it was considered. After a wild bidding session, it sold for this price supposedly because of its rarity. It sold at Bonhams’s 20th Anniversary “Festival of Speed” Auction in 2013. The auction took place in England. Other amazing vehicles that sold for high price tags at auction include the Ferrari 250 TO that sold for $38,115,000 at Bonhams’s Quail Auction, and a Mercedes-Benz W196R race car that sold for a whopping $31 million.
